ARTISTS APPLY NOW
At Habitart we have a number of programmes to encourage and support upcoming artists. The regular residency programme is open to artists from all over the world. Applications can be e-mailed to us along with images and a brief note on what you propose to do.
On a national level, we have several programmes where artists can experiment to grow creatively and further their careers. Habitart provides an ideal environment for introspection, research and to develop your art-making process.
Apply For 12 Programs
You may apply for any of these programmes, depending on which one suits you. Please send a detailed bio data and 4 images of your recent works to info@habitart.in send in your applications as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Lodging and boarding is free of cost and art material in most cases is also provided free to artists. Artists will be reimbursed their travel and other expenses up to a maximum of Rs. 5000.00
 
FIRST SOLO
First Solo: First Solo is an event that is a big step for artists who have participated in group shows but never held a solo show. In this workshop we guide and assist them to prepare for this event. We select 8 dynamic artists from the applications received and invite them to stay and work at Habitart for 5 days. Financial assistance may be offered to a deserving artist to book the first show.
ART CAMP (M)
Art Camp (males): 6-8 artists are invited to attend an art camp to be held at Habitart 26th to 31st March 2012 It is a five days affair besides producing art works, the artists shall have discussions on pre selected subject, interaction with gallery owners - art lovers and buyers and member of the art fraternity. Media will also be invited to meet the artists and view the work in progress. There are recreational outings and a chance to visit places of importance in Bangalore.
ART CAMP (F)
Art Camp (females) : This event may be conducted by an upcoming artist from London. She will participate in this event and share her experiences. She will also present her views on the current European art scene. 6-8 artists are invited to attend this camp from 14th. Nov. to 19th. Nov 2011. The artists shall interact with gallery owners – art lovers and buyers and member of the art fraternity. Media will also be invited to meet the artists and view the work in progress. There will be recreational outings and a chance to visit places of importance in Bangalore.
ARTIST AT WORK
Artist at Work : This programme is typically for artists who wish to have their first exhibition in Bangalore. This gives them a great platform to reach out to a large number of art lovers and members of the art industry. Habitart promotes the artist through its web site and electronic media. Posters are put up in pre determined locations in the city. Media, Gallery owner, Art buyers and HNIs are sent e invites. At the end of 5 days the artist and his/her works begins to get recognition and popularity they so deserve.
